The state
Vice President/President-Elect shall perform the following duties:
- Preside at Executive Board and NJCMENC conferences in the absence
of the president;
- Coordinate the annual NJCMENC service project;
- Contact guest speakers chosen by the Executive Committee;
- Introduce speakers and other guests at meetings;
- Publicize meetings and other activities;
- Inform state representatives of all updates and events.
The Vice President succeeds to the office of President, who has the following duties:
- Preside at Executive Board and NJCMENC Conferences;
- Represent NJCMENC at all conferences, meetings and elsewhere;
- Uphold the principles of the constitution established by NJCMENC;
- Develop an agenda for Executive Board meetings and NJCMENC Conferences;
- Appoint standing committees approved by the Executive Board;
- Delegate all tasks and responsibilities to Executive Board members and representatives.
The state Secretary shall perform the following duties:
- Record and distribute the minutes of Executive Board and NJCMENC conferences;
- Provide information regarding the state as requested by the state president and advisor;
- Prepare letters of confirmation and appreciation for guest speakers;
- Report state activities for publication in state or national periodicals;
- Inform state representatives of all updates and events.
The state Treasurer shall perform the following duties:
- Maintain NJCMENC’s financial records;
- Provide and maintain an updated Contact List of Chapter officers (President, Representative and Advisor) prior to the start of the academic year;
- Chair all fundraising activities and/or committees appointed by the Executive Board;
- Report the status of NJCMENC finances at the beginning of all Executive Board and General Membership meetings.
The state Media Coordinator shall perform the following duties:
- Develop the NJCMENC website to be as accessible as possible to all members;
- Coordinate with the Executive Board the full contents of the website,
- Maintain separate e-mail account for NJCMENC website related business;
- Update the website with current events and activities relevant to NJCMENC members; and
- Inform state representatives of all updates to the website.
