New Jersey CMENC Senate Meeting

Meeting opened at 1:21 PM

1. MIOSM

1. Focus on elementary schools
2. Performance, instrument demos, etc…
3. We’ll be sending a written letter to each school
1. Your chapters are responsible for emailing Krysta (Krysta_Mirsik@comcast.net) a list of local schools by the second week of October
2. Start with schools your college already works with
4. College chapters will form small groups to go out into schools
5. The letters will go out on October 19th, and we want all responses to your chapter before Thanksgiving
1. Each chapter will then email Krysta with reports and status updates about the process
6. Senate comment: Get more than MENC people involved…..other musicians are probably willing
2. Picnic
1. October 4th, 12:00 at Johnson Park in Piscataway
2. NO ALCOHOL!
3. Orchestra Tickets
1. We’ll buy 4-8 passes, 1st come 1st serve
2. More information to come!
4. Presence at November 6th meeting
1. Please get as many chapter members there as possible
2. Nominations occur that day
