Join MENC

Why Join MENC?

Membership in MENC's collegiate division connects you to music education students and music educators across the state. You receive full member benefits, including MENC publications and reduced-price registration to attend music educators' conventions. As a collegiate member, you may also attend the annual collegiate convention, participate in collegiate meetings and vote in the state collegiate elections.

How Can I Join MENC?

To join as a collegiate member, you must affiliate as a member of your school's collegiate chapter. As of Fall 2006, MENC is now offering online registration and renewal in addition to the paper application. Please be sure to contact your chapter officers for any specific information or instructions that apply. Most chapters hold membership drives, and many have dedicated membership coordinators.

But I don't have an MENC chapter at my school, or my school's chapter isn't active!

If your school has a program that prepares students for certification as a music educator, it may be eligible to charter an MENC Collegiate chapter. Speak with your music education faculty and other students, and visit http://www.menc.org/networks/collegiate/ChapterStart.html for complete instructions on how to charter a chapter.

If your school's chapter is inactive, NJCMENC can help! Visit our Contact Page and send us an email.
